At CTIA Charity Organization – Uganda, we believe that access to skills can change a life forever. This success story is a powerful example of how education and digital skilling open doors to opportunity and hope.
Through our Computer Skills Training Program, vulnerable youth who once had little or no access to education were introduced to basic and practical computer skills. Many of them had never touched a computer before. With patience, guidance, and hands-on training, they learned how to use computers confidently.
The training covered essential skills such as computer basics, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet usage, typing, and digital communication. Beyond technical skills, the learners gained confidence, discipline, and a renewed belief in their own potential.
Today, these students can create documents, manage simple data, prepare presentations, and use the internet productively. Some have gone on to support their families, assist in offices, continue formal education, or teach others what they have learned.
This transformation proves that education and skilling are powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty. With continued support, we can empower more young people to build brighter, self-reliant futures through digital literacy.
